Hi! My name is Asha Federico, and I was born with bilateral hearing loss. Identified at birth through the newborn hearing screen, I've been wearing hearing aids since I was three months old. Now a senior at Lakewood High School, I balance my time between playing on the JV soccer team and performing with the school orchestra as a violist. Outside of school, I love playing the piano, skiing, writing, and beading. Determined to challenge the negative stereotypes surrounding hearing impairment, I founded Superhear-os in 2020. The name originates from my childhood, when I couldn't pronounce "hearing aids" and called them my "heroes" instead. This playful term has come to embody my mission: to make wearing hearing aids a joyful and uplifting experience. I hope these charms help you celebrate your hearing aids as your own personal heroes!
